Life History & Sacred Journey

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was the ninth Sikh Guru, revered across India as "Hind Di Chaddar" (The Shield of Humanity).

When a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits sought protection from forced religious conversions by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji courageously volunteered to lay down his life for their right to freedom of conscience.

He was publicly martyred at Chandni Chowk in Delhi in 1675 CE (where Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib stands), establishing a supreme benchmark for religious freedom.
