Sri Guru Har Krishan Ji was the eighth Sikh Guru, ascending the Gaddi at the young age of five. He possessed astonishing spiritual depth and wisdom.
During a devastating smallpox epidemic in Delhi, Guru Har Krishan Ji stayed at Raja Jai Singh’s palace (now Gurdwara Bangla Sahib), personally serving and healing thousands of suffering citizens.
Before taking the illness upon himself and passing away at age seven, he uttered the words "Baba Bakale," pointing to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji as his successor.
